Professor of Production, Technology and Operations
Enrique Garrido is Director and Professor of the Operations Management Area; and Professor at the FoodDepartment San Telmo Business School (STBS).
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, a PhD in Economics and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (Madrid). He also holds a Diploma in Senior Management (AD1) and in Senior Management of Food Chain Companies (ADECA) from STBS. In his academic development he attended the Academic Development Program at STBS and the International Faulty Program at IESE.
He began his executive career in the Enartec Group (engineering) in the USA, then returned to Spain to work in Heineken (food) and the Huntsman Group (chemistry), participating in international projects. In 2010, after fifteen years of executive career he joined the STBS faculty as Professor and Director of the Operations Area.
Enrique has taught more than 2,000 sessions in more than a dozen countries on four continents and has written more than 70 cases and technical notes. His areas of interest focus on the development of winning strategies; business transformation towards continuous improvement models, the development of sustainability strategies and the professionalization of governance in SMEs.
Currently, he combines his academic dedication with strategic business consulting, an activity he performs as a partner of Axis 6 Consultores de Dirección. His specialties and areas of interest are: mentoring of managers, development of strategic plans, formalization and professionalization of corporate governance. He also participates as an advisor in several family-owned companies in different sectors.
